Specific Details There appears to be no provison for Media under the drop box. The return covers representations in relation th RTÉ, which is under the department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media. The NUJ sought support for RTÉ folliwing a crisis at the organisation arising from relevalations of undisclosed expenditure, specfically we sought support for the protection of workers at the organisation.

Intended results (1) Including of staffing and HR issues in any investigation established (2) Support for reform of the license fee collection system & system of funding of pubic service broadcasting in Ireland. (3) Awareness of the position of the NUJ in relation to the Grant Thornton review at RTÉ, bogus self employment and ongoing HR issues at RTÉ including gender pay gap, bogus self employment and HR issues relating to a review into the culture within Current Affairs, the Resolve report.

Meeting (1)

Requested meeting with Minister Catherine Martin on behalf of RTÉ Trade Union Group. Meeting granted and held at Minister's office.

Letter (1)

Wrote to Minster Martin requesting inclusion of HR issues into any review established by the minister into the culture of RTÉ. In welcoming corproate goverance review NUJ sought to have terms of reference extended to include HR and contract issues.
