Specific Details The availability of Social Finance as a form of bridging support to statutory grant programmes in Ireland and its role in complementing grant and philanthropic supports to communities.

Intended results Raise awareness of bridging finance and its appropriateness to facilitating grant supports. Highlight the need for a national programme of investor readiness support across the community sector. Standardise the mandating of grants such as Sports Capital directly to lenders (a la the Rural Development Programme) so as to mitigate risk levels to borrower and lender alike.
