Specific Details Discussions with Minister Coveney and his Departments Assistant Secretary regarding the provision of Security Clearance System for third level institutions and Irish Companies who are involved in EU Projects that require Security Clearance from the Irish Government in order to participate in and / or draw funds from these projects.

Intended results The intention of the meeting was to impress upon the Minister the requirement for Irish Companies to have a Government issued Security Clearance in order to participate in EU programs which would involve drawing down funding. The lack of this system will hinder job creation and the the ability to draw down of funds.
