RCPI is a member of the Climate and Health Alliance which collectively lobbies to influence policies to address health issues impacted by climate change. RCPI is a member of the Alcohol Health Alliance that lobbies to influence policies around alcohol to protect health and reduce harm. RCPI is a member of the Tobacco21 Alliance that lobbies to influence policies to raise the legal age for tobacco use to 21 and to reduce the health harms associated with vaping. RCPI invited Tanaiste, Micheal Martin to a special event at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland to award the Stearne Medal to Dr Anthony Fauci in recognition of his contribution to public health
