Specific Details The FRC National Forum CEO and members of the Executive Committee met with Minister Roderic O’ Gorman, key senior civil servants with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth (DCEDIY) and Tusla Commissioning Unit on the 4th of April.

Intended results To update on key work of the FRC National Forum and the National FRC programme. To highlight the urgent requirement to address the core funding levels of Family Resource Centre members through an increase to the National FRC programme funding. To discuss specified funding requirements for specific streams of work including integration, counselling and therapeutic supports.

Meeting (1)

The agenda included: 1.Update on key work of the FRCNF and the National FRC Programme. 2.The urgent requirement to address the core funding levels of FRCs. 3. FRCNF position that no new FRCs until funding of existing FRCs is addressed and FRC National programme involvement in a pathway to becoming a new FRC. 4.Safeguarding the integrity of the National FRC programme in the context of Tusla restructuring. 5.The National Forum will be seeking €236,000 per FRC in their Pre-Budget Submission 2025.
