Specific Details On behalf of Clare PPN Sarah Clancy contacted an elected TD to ascertain what provisions had been made for IP applicants to verify their identities in order to participate in the forthcoming local elections

Intended results We sought and got clarity on the acceptable forms of ID that an international protection applicant could present on voting day in a polling booth. The Electoral Commission's list of acceptable IDs has been updated and IP applicants and others can use their TRC /Blue Card if necessary and if they do not have other forms if ID

Catherine Connolly's office submitted a written Parliamentary Question to the minister and forwarded the response to Sarah Clancy
