Specific Details Briefing to all Oireachtas members on the challenges facing Independent Radio, shortcomings of the proposed Journalism Schemes, our 2024 Budget proposals and the needs of the sector in particular for support for core news and current affairs services.

Intended results To outline the pressures currently facing the independent radio sector, especially the increased costs and external issues relating to local journalism and current affairs coverage, the need for ringfenced and accessible support schemes, and the fact that the proposed schemes might result in precarious employment or risk to employment in our sector.
