Meeting (1)

ED met Ben Ryan on 3 July to discuss implementation of Programme for Government commitments and other priority actions identified in Review of Policy Options for Prison and Penal Reform including ratification of the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture, proposed introduction of parole regulations, establishment of Penal Consultative Council, timeline for updated prisoner complaints policy and review of prison rule and measures to tackle prison overcrowding.
