Specific Details LSSIF Criteria 2024 - Removal of Stream 1 funding

Intended results The inclusion of stream 1 funding for applicants. Stream 1 funding was vital to help with the design and was of huge assistance to NGB’s who do not currently have the significant financial resources to fund the design and feasibility phase of the project themselves and it would critically allow them to work towards the realisation of a strategic goal for their sport.

The request for Stream 1 funding to be included in LSSIF criteria as the only funding available incorporated both the design and the construction element of the proposed project and by there not being a separate stream for design funding only it completely rules out NGBs with any ambition to invest in infrastructure to play their sport and indeed increase participation.
