We are deeply concerned about the growing safety issues posed by horse-drawn carriage operators on Market Street, adjacent to our premises. From June 2022 to July 2024, there have been 672 reported incidents involving these operators. Their behaviour has escalated to include driving against traffic, blocking access routes, brandishing weapons, threatening, and scamming tourists, and overturning carriages with passengers onboard, resulting in injuries which could have been life changing.
