Ivan Yates, providing advisory services to Regnum, met with Claragh Mulhern, Chief Planning Officer in the DHLGH, in the Custom House 16/10. They discussed the obstacles facing wind farm developers on both a national and local scale due to county development plans (CDP) in Ireland, potential avenues for initiating changes to county development plans, the impacts of not delivering additional electricity generation for datacentres and Ireland's growing population and potential solutions.

Ivan Yates, providing advisory services to Regnum, met with Niall Cussen, the Planning Regulator in the OPR in their offices in Dublin on 14/11 to introduce himself and Regnum. Discussed all aspects of planning policy in relation to development of renewable projects, with particular reference to onshore wind and specific challenges. Discussed the renewable targets in the NPF and the renewable strategies in 31 CDPs, electricity shortages without urgent deployment of energy projects.
