Specific Details Emailed a number of DPOs to inform them of the issues facing the National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities (NAS) and to ask for support with our call on Government to include a reference to committing to adequately resourcing NAS to ensure equal access to independent advocacy in the Programme for Government.

Intended results Have a mention of NAS included in the Programme for Government 2025, in terms of committing to adequate resourcing of independent advocacy to ensure persons with disabilities, who require support to do so, can exercise their rights under the CRPD. Sent individual emails congratulating each DPO on their election/re-election. I then ask them for support regarding the Programme for Government 2025.

Informal communication (1)

Regional Manager for the Greater Dublin Region sent an informal text message to a DPO indicating that NAS was seeking support regarding the Programme for Government 2025 ask, and asking if she could connect them to NAS National Manger to discuss the Programme for Government negotiations.
