Intended results For Ireland to take a number of actions, including:The Occupied Territories Bill: This bill represents a vital step in ensuring Ireland plays its part in upholding international law and human rights. Your support for the enactment of this bill is crucial. - The International Court of Justice opinion: Ireland must act decisively to uphold UNGA A/ES-10/L.31/Rev.1 and adhere to the ICJ Advisory Opinion before more lives and futures are irreparably destroyed. Transport of weapons: The Irish government needs to ensure that Irish airports and Irish airspace are not used to transport weapons, technology or other logistical or tactical support to Israel. - Trade: Call on fellow EU member states to suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement. Self-determination: Call for an end to the illegal post-1967 military occupation and settler colonization of Gaza, the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Golan Heights, and for coordinated international diplomacy to ensure this, seeking binding commitments to cease support for the occupation. This should ensure the full self-determination for Palestinians and diplomatic solutions based on UN resolutions, including the right to return, seeking justice between two equal parties. Funding: Ireland should provide further funding to the humanitarian response and provide direct and quality funding to Palestinian NGOs and CSOs, including women-led organisations, and support their security and support costs equitably, recognizing the leadership role Palestinian NGOs and CSOs take in the humanitarian response.
