Specific Details In October a series of emails to Minister for Nature Malcolm Noonan were sent from NCI coordinator Deidre Lane about the possibility of meeting with NCI Board Member Martina von Richter at COP16 in Cali, Colombia in October and encouraging an opportunity for Ireland's representatives to be involved in the Biodiversity Champions programme alongside other countries as part of a Mainstreaming Champions Group.

Intended results Hoping to secure the Minister's participation in the Mainstreaming Champions Group to promote the integration of biodiversity and its multiple values into all levels of decision making, and accelerate the adoption of effective, transformational policies and sector-based actions to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.
