Prof Ken McDonald, Medical Director, Prof Cristin Ryan, Mary Ryder, Karen Maclaughlin, Ray Dolan, Ian Sutton and Jeannine Tanner met with the Minister for Health at St Michaels Hospital for a photo opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of research and screening for the prevention of heart failure in women

Ambrose McLoughlin (former DPO) is an unpaid advisor of the Eu Heart Failure Policy Network who communicate with MEP's at the Eu Parliament to outline the importance of establishing an Eu wide heart failure policy to promote early detection and prevention to improve health outcome and better quality of life, and reduce health spending across the EU. He is an unpaid Board Trustee of the HeartBeat Trust. Other HeartBeat Trust signatories were Mary Ryder, Prof Ken McDonald and Prof Mark Ledwidge
