Specific Details Co signed a letter sent to the Editor of the Irish Times, organised by the Children's Rights Alliance, in relation to the need for Government to establish a child payment for families who are in IPAS. This payment was committed to two years ago and funding made available in the previous two budgets but the necessary scheme has not yet been set up and is still under consideration according to the Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan.

Intended results That Government set up a child payment scheme to ensure families in IPAS can provide for their children's needs. The current payment for children under the Daily Expenses Allowance is insufficient to cover their needs.
