Specific Details The lobbying intent was to raise awareness of our submission to the Department of Sport of our ask to make a Special Allocation in Budget 2026. The ask was for €5m to fully renovate and restore a derelict building in Dun Laoghaire for use as a National Sailing Performance HQ. This new building will replace the shipping containers which are currently in use, but which have no toilet, shower or changing facilities.

Intended results The intended result was to raise awareness and understanding of our ask in order that the relevant ministers would support this in the pre-budget allocation
