Meeting held on 11 February at the DOD with IDSA to represent IDSA member priorities: 1. Certainty surrounding industrial participation policy. IDSA has strongly recommended the need to develop the nation’s defence industry strategy and thereby determine defined industrial participation policy in defence procurement (in compliance with national/EU regulation). 2. Capability Development processes & stronger engagement with industry 3. Foster Irish enterprises, SMEs, innovation & R&D opportunities

Email to Enterprise Ireland to recommend that it would be timely to consider making provisions within the 2027 EI budget arrangements for a national stand at DSEI 2027 in London (the primary global trade show next year which is held every two years) in a similar fashion to the Northern Ireland stand. Notwithstanding that there are ongoing legislative changes due to be made.
