Specific Details Wind energy policy in the upcoming new Co Donegal Development Plan 2018-2024

Intended results The inclusion in the 2018-2024 CDP of a 10 times wind turbine height setback distance between turbines and places of residence/congregation. . The protection of the six river sub basins containing the freshwater pearl mussel (Eske, Clady, Leannan, Owenea, Owencarrow and Glaskeelin) from windfarm development. The re-powering of existing wind farms without any further intrusion on new sites.
