email letter to the Minister for Education and Skills Richard Bruton regarding the importance of workbooks in the classroom, their pedagogical significance, their significance for teachers, pupils and parents, the increased costs to parents this proposal will have and the negative impact on students' educational attainment if they are banned. Results of a survey of primary school principals on the proposed ban and the increased costs in photocopying and copyright licence fees that will be incurred as a result and that parents will have to pay.
