Specific Details Requested that the existing specific objective in the Galway City Development Plan for lands at Merlin Park be amended as follows: Council will consider the use of RA zoned lands north of Dublin Road and south of CF zoned lands at Merlin Park Hospital for a new hospice facility with a footprint not exceeding 2 hectares and where removal of trees will be kept to a minimum.

Intended results We requested that Galway City council allow for a broader objective to be included in the draft City Development Plan 2017-2023 to support the development of Galway Hospice on the lands at Merlin Park
