We sent direct emails and social media contact to all European Candidates asking:
- To sign The Wheel’s Community Matters pledge and commit to :
1) Acting as an informed ambassador for the work of the sector
2) Supporting the principle of a national fund to match EU funding opportunities
3) Encourage EU funders to consider the high cost of living in Ireland as compared to other member states
4) Simplifying the application procedures for EU funding programmes and a national support service to assist applications
5) Engaging with Expert Group on Social Economy and Social Enterprises to promote social enterprise
