Specific Details Participation in the Revenue Commissioner's Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC) - various updates sought and views shared.

Intended results The Society participates in the Revenue Commissioner's Main TALC, Indirect Taxes Sub-Committee and the Direct/Capital Sub- Committee. The nature of the meetings are to update and receive clarification from the Revenue Commissioners on aspects of tax administration. As a DPO and other public officials interact with the TALC from time to time, the meetings are recorded here for information purposes only.

Meeting (2-5)

The function of the TALC Committee is to review and make recommendations to achieve more effective and efficient administration of the direct taxes, stamp duties, and value added tax. These may relate to either administrative practices of the Office of the Revenue Commissioners or of tax practitioners. Membership is at a senior level from the Office of the Revenue commissioners and appropriate bodies representing tax practitioners. The Committee keeps under consideration its current membership and any requests for amendments or extension.
