Intended results To highlight the regional impact of Connacht Rugby throughout the West of Ireland. To highlight the economic contribution of Connacht Rugby to the region at €34.4m per anum. To highlight the role of Connacht Rugby as an employer with more than 13o staff. To highlight the that Connacht Rugby has lodged an application for the Large Scale Sports Capital Fund and that €20m is required from the State in order to realise the project. To highlight the gap in facilities compared to other regions. To highlight the significant growth in participation both active and social in rugby in Connacht. To communicate that planning permission had been received for the project and that the project is shovel ready.
