2 phone calls took place on 14 & 30 December respectively between ICBA Chair, Chris Collenette and Minister of State, Robert Troy. The strength of the Ireland Canada trading relationship was discussed in the context of the need for the Irish Government to ratify CETA sooner rather than later as to date 14 other EU states have already done so.

At the request of the ICBA on 3 September a virtual meeting took place between ICBA Chair, Chris Collenette, ICBA Vice Chair Deirdre Giblin and Minister of State, Robert Troy. The strength of the Ireland Canada trading relationship was discussed in the context of the need for the Irish Government to ratify CETA as soon as possible as to date 14 other EU states have already done so

The strength of the Ireland Canada trading relationship for agricultural produce was was discussed in the context of the need for the Irish Government to ratify CETA .

At the request of the ICBA, on 4 December , a virtual meeting took place between ICBA Chair Chris Collenette, ICBA Vice Chair Deirdre Giblin ,Executive Director Kate Hickey and Deputy Alan Farrell who is Past and Interim Chair of the Ireland Canada Interparliamentary Friendship Group. The timing of the Government discussion's on the ratification CETA was discussed.

On 18 November , an email was sent by ICBA Chair Chris Collenette to Brian Murphy in Dept. of An Taoiseach,. The purpose of the email was outline the strength of the Ireland Canada Relationship in order to encourage the Government to consider starting the process to ratify CETA.
