Specific Details The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage visited Anew's Supported Temporary Accommodation Service on 4th December (an outdoor visit with social distancing, in line with Covid-19 guidelines which were in place at the time) to celebrate our service by planting a Cherry Blossom Tree. We asked for a meeting with him to discuss the need to extend our service, to illustrate the value for money, effectiveness and high quality of service and discuss challenges for the service.

Intended results Maintain existing funding and explore funding opportunities to extend our services. Illustrate the effectiveness and necessity of intensive supports and early intervention alongside accommodation services. Show the value for money that this provides long term for Anew's services users i.e. pregnant women, new mothers, their babies and extended family who are experiencing homelessness.

The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage visited Anew's Supported Temporary Accommodation Service in Swords on 4th Dec 2020, which is located in his constituency. The purpose was to celebrate the service and plant a Cherry Blossom tree. We asked for a further meeting with the Minister to discuss our service as detailed above.
