Intended results For Dept. of Justice and members of the Oireachtas to gain a better understanding of the experiences of sexual abuse survivors as witnesses within the criminal justice system so they can implement practices that better protect and ensure the well being of said victims.

Presentation to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Justice to discuss Victims’ Testimony in the Cases of Rape and Sexual Assault on 23 March 2021 at 3:30 pm, broadcasted from Committee Room 3 of Leinster House. Presentation entitled, 'Experiences of survivors of sexual violence giving evidence in a criminal trial'. Committee also heard from officials from the Department of Justice and representatives from the Rape Crisis Network Ireland, Men’s Aid, and the Bar of Ireland.
