Specific Details Retail Strategy specifically for Tralee needed in the County Development Plan

Intended results As the first issue of the draft County Development Plan is pending review by the Elected Members, the Steering Group of Tralee Chamber would welcome the opportunity to engage with you and the relevant personnel from the Economic Development Unit specifically in relation to our submission requesting a Retail Strategy for Tralee. The Retail sector plays a pivotal role in the employment and commercial base of Tralee, and in this context it is vital that a specific Retail Strategy is Developed just for Tralee and that its importance to the town is not watered down by being amalgamated solely into an overall country-wide retail plan. We welcome the opportunity to engage and listen to what plans will be proposed in the County Development Plan in relation to infrastructure, public transport, and zoning development for Tralee in the context of the retail sector, and would welcome the opportunity to have some constructive dialogue on these key areas.
