The updated draft masterplan proposes a new hotel, spa, leisure centre and wellness centre, a reconfigured golf course and new club house, a sports campus, new school, parkland and woodland walks / trails, a greenway connecting Howth and Sutton, the refurbishment of Howth Castle and its outbuildings, the restoration of the Estate’s walled gardens, the introduction of a new urban farm, a new cemetery, the provision of a large public park overlooking Howth Harbour and potential residential development, including a significant element of senior / later living for retirees and affordable housing for the local market, subject to planning and / or rezoning (in the case of the potential residential / senior living development).
