Intended results Grow awareness amongst Policy Makers of the impacts of inaction over the Summer period in the Electricity System. We were concerned about potential security of supply and rising wholesale pricing of electricity.

The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.

Email (11-20)

Email to Minister Ryan, Energy Spokesperson from leading political parties and members of Oireachtas Committee on Energy & Climate Change. The email highlighted the impact of planned and unplanned generation outages to energy suppliers and their customers. We also included some suggestions on addressing the challenges. Emails sent on 12 May 2021

Email (2-5)

The email to Minister Ryan and Junior Minister Smith highlighted the challenges to electricity customers around increases in pricing and to request an urgent meeting. Email sent on 2nd June and on 23 July.

Virtual Meeting (1)

Virtual Meeting took place between Darren O'Rourke (opposition spokesperson on Energy and Climate Change) and Enda Gunnell - CEO of Pinergy Meeting took place on 17th June.
