Intended results 1) Identify and alleviate blockages in accessing grants to support outdoor trading and reopening 2) Give direct feedback to Council Executive on challenges envisaged/being encountered re outdoor trading 3) Propose measures that Limerick City and County Council could implement in support of re-opening businesses including a programme of outdoor music and art on the bridges over the summer weekends.

Virtual Meeting (2-5)

Following a call by Limerick Chamber for the establishment of a taskforce in relation to city re-opening, a number of virtual meetings were held in May and June 2021 involving Limerick City and Council Officials, Limerick Chamber and representative from key Limerick stakeholder groups, Licenced Vintners Association, Restaurant Association of Ireland and IHF. https://limerickchamber.ie/chamber-says-taskforce-urgently-needed-to-support-limerick-summer-reopening/
