Specific Details Funding for Early Years' Service. We have experienced a reduction in funding due to the NCS which leaves continued provision of Early Years' education at risk.

Intended results Changes to the National Childcare Scheme so that Community Childcare Services can receive adequate funding so that children from disadvantaged areas can continue to receive excellent early childhood education.

Lobby day (1)

On the 5th October joined a Dail protest about children falling through the cracks of the National childcare scheme. This followed communication with Marie Sherlock, Minister O'Gorman and Mary Fitzpatrick and others. Met with Roderic O'Gorman as part of the protest

Meeting (1)

Met with Mary Fitzpatrick to review the proposed changes to budget and the possible affect on Early Years.

Telephone calls with Marie Sherlock, Mary Fitzpatrick and others regarding the national childcare scheme.
