Emma Walsh, Alice PR& Events, invited Party Spokespersons for Childcare and TDs and Senators previously engaged with the All-Party Group on Workplace Equality to join a Study Tour to Iceland in partnership with the IWRA. This invitation included agreed dates and proposed itinerary for travel and accommodation, and suggested possible meetings to be arranged by IWRA with representatives of Icelandic parliament, relevant committees, Labour Unions and Reykjavik city Council.

On 13.06.2022 Martina Quinn of Alice PR & Events emailed a submission to the Ms. Sarah O’Farrell, Clerk to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Gender Equality today on behalf of WorkEqual requesting an opportunity to present a document to the Committee members and / or to assist the Committee’s work in any other way we can. Submission included: 1. A brief introduction to WorkEqual. 2. A summary of the key findings from market research we conducted last year on public attitudes to gender equality and caring duties. 3. A list of the recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly on Gender Equality that are of most relevance to our work, and our response in each case, including an outline of how we believe these recommendations could be implemented. 4. A conclusion highlighting how we can potentially assist / contribute to the ongoing work of the Committee.

Included an update of a proposed trip to Iceland and a reminder of the next meeting date for the All-Party Group.
