Specific Details Objective: To highlight the difficulties that have arisen at Dublin Airport following the opening of the airport's new North runway for Alliance Aviation (AA), an Irish company, with Fixed Base Operator status at Shannon and Dublin airports and, in particular highlight the failure of DAA to respond in a meaningful way to an application by AA to the Irish Aviation Authority [IAA] for an Approval Certificate under Article 4 of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme.

Intended results To ensure Alliance Aviation (AA) is permitted screening arrangements similar to those afforded to other companies at Dublin airport, including companies that do not have the full Ground Handler status that AA holds. AA is well equipped to meet the requirements to operate as a terminal operator with passenger screening’. It is a fully licensed and fully insured ground handler with a very solid track record. It has demonstrated its capacity through its operations at Shannon.
