Submission (2-5)

Representations made to EU Commissioner Mairead McGuinness, the Taoiseach and the Tanaiste to agree to speak at EU Cardiovascular Disease Summit in November on behalf of the EU Heart Failure Network, led by the Health Policy Partnership UK, voluntary agencies in the Heart Failure sector from the EU, UK and the global Cardiac Research community. The aim of this was to secure EU support on important new Heart Failure Policy initiatives. fDPO Dr Ambrose McLoughlin received no fees, expenses, remuneration or benefits in connection with this activity which was carried out in his voluntary capacity as Chairperson of the HeartBeat Trust, a registered charity.
