Specific Details TD's, Senators and Councillors in the counties of Cavan, Leitrim, Westmeath, Clare, Tipperary, Roscommon, East Galway and Offaly were contacted regarding the lack of progress in the development of a tourism brand for the Lakelands area. The lack of a co-ordinated brand is perceived to be having a negative effect on local tourism and hospitality businesses. The RAI requested that each representative contact their LA CEO, Failte Ireland and the Minister for Tourism on this issue.

Intended results To find out what progress was being made on developing the Lakelands Brand and the intention of the government in following through on their programme for government policy that the brand would be developed.
