Specific Details Request to challenge the lower rates of pay for under 18's performing the same work as over 18's. Request for accessible, respectful, listening and hearing youth focused mental health supports. Consideration of the impact of the housing crises on young peoples both young people living in unsafe family situations and young people hoping to access further education - choices for further education now based on ability to commute to a college rather than a desired or appropriate course.

Intended results Action on the indefensible lower pay rates for under 18's. Increased understanding of the needs of young people and especially young people living in more rural areas. Properly resourced and accessible mental health service for young people with effective supports rather than simply medication or referral.

We brought young people to the Youth Work Ireland Political Briefing Event in Dublin. This event created a space for TD's and Senators to meet with young people and hear their concerns. During the event we met the officials listed below.
