Specific Details Disability Service Providers lobby Government and local public representatives to support the campaign by the National Federation of Voluntary Service Providers following submission by disability services of detailed costings to HSE seeking additional funding to deal with the impact of COVID-19. The Government allocated just €10 million for the remainder of this year, which represents only a fraction of the funding required for services for people with disabilities.

Intended results To secure adequate funding to maintain essential support to people with disabilities in these challenging times particularly during the current healthcare crisis. People with intellectual disabilities are experiencing severe mental health challenges as they struggle without the services upon which they relied pre-COVID.
