Specific Details KARE and the Muiriosa Foundation are members the National Federation of Voluntary Service Providers. In 2021 they participated in a campaign organised by the National Federation in relation to Budget 2022, to highlight the key budget 2022 priorities and discuss the importance of investment in budget 2022 in line with the Disability Capacity Review and to highlight the issues facing people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Intended results Calling on the Government in Budget 2022 to 1) invest in the required supports & services as set out in the Capacity review, 2) To ensure clear budget lines of responsibility in relation to areas of supports that cross between departments to ensure coordination takes place between departments and 3) Act to safeguard the sustainability of the high quality, relationship based supports required to ensure stability and quality of service to people with disabilities.
