Specific Details Rezoning of the Green at Stonebridge

Intended results I results I intend to secure are that Leitrim County Council to rezones the large Green area in the Stonebridge Estate in Dromahair Co Leitrim as an Open Space or Park or Mixed General Green area immediately as a matter of priority. The green should be preserves for current users and future generations. The green area should not be built on, reduced or diminished in any way by roads or buildings. Rezoning should occur immediately as the green in under threat.

What is the directive you gave to the grassroots campaigners? The wider community of Dromahair have been made aware of the threat to the green and have been advised that they should contact their local councillor. DromahThe wider community of Dromahair has been informed about the threat to the local green area and has been advised to reach out to their local councillor. Residents of Dromahair were encouraged to provide their feedback on the planning application that poses a threat to the green space at Stonebridge.air residents were advised that they could make observations on the planning application which threatens the green at Stonebridge.

5 selected local councillors at Leitrim County Council were individually emailed under the subject heading "Urgent lobby to rezone the green at Stonebridge"

Meeting (1)

A formal meeting was held in Stanfords Dromhair at 7.30pm on 9th April 2024 when it was unanimously decided by the committee of Stonebridge Residents Association, and all residents of Stonebridge present that the Public Open Spaces at Stonebridge should be retained and preserved as they are.

Informal communication (21-30)

I have participated in informal discussions with the large group of my neighbours attending the annual Barbeque where the general consensus was that the green at Stonebridge should be retained as is with no road or building on it.

I, along with neighbours made submissions to Leitrim County Council Planning department. My first and latest submission was made on 08/09/2024
