Specific Details In meeting with Minister Richard Bruton and his Assistant Jenny McCormack, Northside Partnership's CEO, Director of Services and Local Employment Services Co-ordinator sought to raise concerns with regard to the future provision of community based local employment services and their potential outsourcing through a public procurement process. In particular NSP representatives sought to raise awareness of the benefits of person centred, community-based services in assisting long term unemployed

Intended results To ensure Minister Bruton understood the benefits of community based, non profit model of employment services. To flag concerns with regard to the procurement process and how the process could mitigate against non-profit organisations competing if the scale of the delivery areas is too large and if there is a requirement to frontload costs on the provider.
