Communications with the Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) and other officials of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) on the capital funding required to support the costs to Private Veterinary Practitioners (PVPs) associated with the Animal Health Computer System (AHCS), and the proposed National Veterinary Prescription System (NVPS), along with the restoration of FEMPI cuts to ERAD payments.

The restoration of the annual support package from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to Private Veterinary Practitioners for in-office costs associated with the Animal Health Computer System.
That the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine meet the full cost of replacement of Electronic Handheld Devices for use with the Animal Health Computer System, and that one Electronic Handheld Device be made available to each contracted Private Veterinary Practitioner under the ERAD Programme.
That the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine urgently resolves Veterinary Ireland's outstanding claim for the restoration of the FEMPI reductions on Private Veterinary Practitioners and that a mechanism be put in place for the ongoing adjustment of the Ready Reckoner rates for Department paid testing.
That the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in consultation and agreement with Veterinary Ireland, implements a capital funding system for Private Veterinary Practitioner involvement in the proposed National Veterinary Prescription System, including capital expenditure on IT hardware and software, electronic devices, laboratory equipment and processes, and training.
